This has happened in the past and this is happening again. So many times it has been seen that audio sales for a movie picks up in a big way after the movie's release, especially if the movie has been appreciated.

Same has happened with A.R.Rehman's 'Rang De Basanti' for which audio is now selling like hot cakes, a week into the movie hitting the marquee. Rehman's music was always situational and the way all 8-9 tracks were blended into the movie's screenplay, it was bound to mesmerize the audience in a big way.

Result is that today music lovers are showing a renewed interest in the film's music due to a wide range of songs in it.
