Omung Kumar`s next biopic 'Sarbjit' brings together two power houses for the first time! After roping in the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for the role of Sarabjit`s sister Dalbir Kaur, the makers have now locked down the talented actor Randeep Hooda for the role of Sarabjit.

Randeep will be essaying the role of the slain Indian prisoner Sarabjit. He will be playing the role Aishwarya`s younger brother and this would be first time the duos would be sharing the same screen space.

Said the director,"I wanted Randeep Hooda as Sarbjit because he fits the role completely, he is a very good actor and takes all his roles seriously, so when we approached him he came to the meeting completely prepared for the role. We compared Sarbjit's and Randeep's photographs and he actually looks like young Sarbjit. He is from Haryana so the accent will work very well with him. And whatever Randeep has done before he has put in more than 200% in the role.

Sharing further, Omung revealed, "When I was narrating him the script he went into small small details that he could do for the character, and was taking in all the scenes and living it right in front of me and after the meeting immediately he said yes. That's how we got our Sarbjit."

The movie will narrate the struggle of Dalbir Kaur whose aim of life is to get her brother out of the jail, who has been imprisoned in Pakistan for a mistaken identity of an Indian spy.

'Sarbjit' which is written by Rajesh Beri & Utkarshini Vashishtha, is all set to go on floors in October 2015 with 70 days schedule shoot in Punjab. The producers of the movie - Sandeep Singh, Zeeshan Quadri and Omung Kumar are planning to release this in May 2016 Cannes.
