Cinema and cricket are two very important part of the Indian culture. Whenever the two combine, the result is bound to be epic. After the globally popular film 'Lagaan' and the MS Dhoni biopic, Bollywood is all set to produce a film on the former cricketer and present BCCI Chief, Sourav Ganguly. Known as 'the God of offside', Sourav Ganguly led the Indian team through the most competitive era or world cricket.

He was one of the best skippers India ever had and one of the greatest batsmen to grace the pitch. Dada himself confirmed the pre production of his film in a statement given to a news outlet. He said, "Yes, I have agreed to the biopic. It will be in Hindi but it is not possible to say the name of the director now. It will take a few more days for arranging everything."

As per the reports, actor Ranbir Kapoor is the front-runner for the role of Dada. He is no stranger to play real life characters as he portrayed Sanjay Dutt quite well in his biopic. The film will reportedly be developed on a large scale with a budget of around 200 crores. It sure would be interesting to witness Sourav Ganguly's amazing journey on large screen.
