Cult classic comedy flick Delhi Belly recently completed ten years of its theatrical release. The film was tightly paced, had great humor and the cast also did a fine job. However, producer Aamir Khan had very different ideas about the cast members originally. The superstar wanted Ranbir Kapoor for the lead role but when he turned the offer down, Aamir went to his nephew Imraan Khan who was quite a popular face in the industry at the time.

Imraan was quite hurt by the fact that his uncle chose his rival over him. The reason Ranbir walked away from the project was the maturity of the content. The film had cuss words, sexual content and other stuff which didn't appeal to Ranbir. He was quoted saying, “I just thought about how embarrassing it would be for me to watch this film with my parents at the premiere, and I opted out.”

'Delhi Belly' stood the test of time over the years and remains one of the best and progressive comedies of India.
