Ranbir Kapoor - The New Action Hero On Block

  • IndiaGlitz, [Thursday,August 01 2013]

After Shahid Kapoor in ‘Phata Poster Nikala Hero’, it’s the turn of our Chocolate Boy Ranbir Kapoor to show off his rough-tough ishtyle...

The assumption so far had been that ‘Besharam’ will be purely a comedy. It's only now that the makers have revealed that the movie will be an action-comedy. And the B-town’s heartthrob will be seen the action avatar.

Here's a look at the quintessential lover boy performing stunts for the first time. Ranbir, who plays a street-smart guy, is seen in a behind-the-scenes shot here.

Ranbir apparently performed the action sequences himself, and didn't want a body double. According to our sources, in ‘Besharam’ Ranbir has a lot of daredevil action scenes and will be seen jumping off a building and falling on cars.

The film is touted to have him perform stunts much like what Salman Khan did in ‘Dabangg’ (2010); and why not! Because it is helmed by the man himself who took Bhai to such a great dhamakedar star status - Abhinav Singh Kashyap. Seems like the filmmaker can’t have enough of the ‘Dabangg’ magic; for, one can see sweet memories from the Salman starrer in ‘Besharam’ as well. In the film the characters of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, who play police couple, are named as Chulbul Chautala (from Salman’s Dabangg character Chulbul Pandey) and Bulbul Chautala respectively. And even Shahid’s dialogues refer to the 2010’s blockbuster.

The first trailer of this massy film was launched recently at PVR, Andheri which was attended by the director, producer Himanshu Mehra and Sanjeev Lamba from Reliance Entertainment.
