Ranbir Kapoor is one of those few Bollywood stars who prefer quality over quantity of films they choose to be part of. The actor is known to commit himself completely to his characters and his performances in 'Rockstar', 'Barfi' etc are testament to this fact. As of now, Ranbir is gearing up for the release of his period action flick 'Shamshera' which will mark his return to the big screen after a four year break.
In a recent promotional interview for 'Shamshera', Ranbir talked about his filmmaking process and shared that he prefers forming a bond with the director before taking up a project. He told Youtuber Awez Darbar, "My process as an actor from the very beginning has been that apart from the script, I have to fall in love with the director and the director has to fall in love with me. It has really helped me in flourishing and doing better at my job."
Talking about the risk involved with such a process, Ranbir said, "With this process, sometimes you get lucky or sometimes you get very unlucky. But maybe I have also done lesser work and also worked with people repeatedly just because I have gelled with the human being, the director, which has become a marriage of sorts while creating the film."
Directed by Karan Malhotra, 'Shamshera' is set to release theatrically on 22nd of July.
