It is often believed that you get special treatment and a easy path to success in Bollywood if you are a star kid. Well, if you're working with a filmmaker like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, that statement simply isn't true. During a recent media event, Ranbir Kapoor recalled the time when he assisted the ace director on his film 'Black' and shared how Bhansali treated him.
He said, "Not saying that my generation of filmmakers are only running behind the commercial aspect… When I assisted Mr (Sanjay Leela) Bhansali (on Black), he used to really treat me as an assistant director. I used to be kneeling down for hours, he used to hit us, he used to abuse us… that only hardens you and prepares you for the world."
Ranbir considers that Bhansali's tough love treatment actually prepared him for his upcoming journey in the Bollywood. Bhansali then went on launch Ranbir as an actor in his film 'Saawariya' and recently, there were reports that the duo might reunite on a project titled 'Baiju Bawra'.
