In a recent promotional interview for his film 'Shamshera', actor Ranbir Kapoor recalled recieving a rather unusual career advice from superstar Aamir Khan. Before Ranbir had started out as an actor, Aamir had advised him to travel across the country in trains and buses in order to connect with the real India.

Ranbir told YouTuber Prajakta Koli, "Before I became an actor, Aamir Khan told me, ‘Before you become an actor, pack your bags and travel across India. Travel by bus, train, and go to small towns’. Most of us who are grown up in luxury and are privileged, do not know our country and its diverse culture.”

However, Ranbir at that time, didn't realise the significance of this advice and ignored it. He stated, "It was a great lesson that he was trying to give me, but I didn’t take it because then I thought, ‘ye kya bol raha hai’."

Ranbir's long awaited film 'Shamshera' was finally released on Friday and now the actor is awaiting the release of his another highly anticipated film 'Brahmastra'.
