Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor is all set to share screen with actress Vaani Kapoor for the first time in the upcoming film 'Shamshera'. Also starring Sanjay Dutt, 'Shamshera' is a period drama set in the 1800s India and it will feature Ranbir in the titular role of a bandit. Vaani, on the other hand, will be seen essaying a traveling dance performer.

In a recent media interaction, Ranbir opened up about his experience of working alongside Vaani. The actor told ANI, "Vaani is a very fine actor. She is someone who works very hard. She is so focused that she is always wearing headphones, listening to music and trying to be in character. Many times I've tried to distract her and just have stupid conversation. We really befriended each other."

Ranbir further shared, "We really enjoyed each other's company. I think what she's done in Shamshera is quite outstanding and I am looking forward to how people find her character and her performance. She has a very important role in the film and people will have to wait to see the film to understand how important her role is."

Directed by Karan Malhotra, 'Shamshera' is set to release theatrically on 22nd of July.
