Putting years of speculation to rest, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has confirmed that he would be tying the knot with girlfriend Alia Bhatt soon. The actor also mentioned that he would've been married to her already had it not been for the pandemic.

In a recent interview with film journalist Rajeev Masand, Ranbir Kapoor also talked about Alia Bhatt being an overachiever. "My girlfriend Alia is a bit of an overachiever, and she probably took every class there is -- from guitar to screenwriting. I always feel like an underachiever next to her. But no, I didn't take any classes. Initially we were dealing with the family crisis, and then I got into reading, spent time with my family, and I watch two-three films every day," Ranbir mentioned. Revealing that the deal would have been sealed had the pandemic not hit their lives, the actor added, "I don't want to jinx it by saying anything. I want to tick mark that goal very soon in my life."

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will be seen together in the upcoming action fantasy trilogy Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar. The highly anticipated film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mouni Roy.
