Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor had last acted in the movie Sanju which was the biopic of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and this movie directed by Rajkumar Hirani was a blockbuster and the biggest hit in Ranbir Kapoor's career. Now the actor's next movie release date has been announced after two years.

Ranbir Kapoor will be seen next in the supernatural movie Brahmastra which is directed by Ayan Mukerji who had previously directed the movies Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani with Ranbir Kapoor. This movie is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Fox Star studios.

It has now been announced that Brahmastra which is a trilogy will have its first part released on December 4, 2020 and the movie will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Brahmastra Part 1 also stars Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy, Dimple kapadia, Prateik babbar and will have Shah Rukh Khan appearing in a special cameo role.
