Sanjay Dutt has had a massive influence on Ranbir Kapoor's life as well as his career. During his early years, Ranbir was a die hard Sanju fan who had poster of the hero in his room. Then the actor went on to play Sanju in the 2018 biopic of same name and now he is all set to share screen with him in the soon to be released film 'Shamshera'.

In a recent interview with The Indian Express, Ranbir talked about what he got to learn from Sanjay Dutt while working on 'Shamshera'. The actor stated, "So much. Forget professionally. Personally, I have seen how brave he is. The travesties that he’s had in his life and how he sailed through them. He is an inspiration to the entire world."

Ranbir Kapoor further added, "I have the privilege and good fortune to know him personally, to have him care for me. It is such a huge privilege. For everybody, Sanjay Dutt is the quintessential cool rockstar that we all grew up admiring. We continue to admire him and want to see him on screen. So, I was just lapping it up. I am very grateful and lucky to have got the opportunity to work with Sanjay Dutt."

Also starring Vaani Kapoor, 'Shamshera'is set to release theatrically on 22nd of July.
