Ranbir Kapoor Lands In Great Trouble!

Bollywood’s heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor, who has been roaring high on the success of ‘Sanju’, was recently sued for over Rs 50 lakh by the tenant of his apartment in Pune for allegedly failing to honour the terms of the rental agreement. He is said to own a house in Pune’s Trump Towers.

According to a report, the actor had rented his apartment in Kalyani Nagar, Pune to Sheetal Suryawanshi in October 2016. Now the resident has sought damages and interest from him for being asked to vacate before the lock-in period as mentioned in the rental agreements. The license fee to be paid by Sheetal was Rs 4 lakh per month for 12 months and Rs 4.20 lakh for the next 12 months, as decided by both Ranbir and the tenant.

Now, a case has been registered in the Pune civil court where the tenant has sought damages worth Rs 50.40 lakh and an interest of Rs 1.08 lakh because her family had to suffer "severe inconvenience and hardships" as she was asked to vacate the place all of a sudden. She was asked to move out of the apartment in 11 months and she finally vacated the place in October 2017.

On the other hand, the ‘Sanju’ actor has denied all the claims in his reply and further said that the tenant vacated the flat on her own will and defaulted on rent for three months, which was deducted from the deposit itself. The case, next is scheduled to be heard on August 28.
