Ranbir Kapoor has been away from the big screen since the release of his biographical drama 'Sanju'. The actor has a couple of big budget projects in his pipeline with which he's going to make a grand comeback. One of these is 'Shamshera'. As a treat for Ranbir's fans on his birthday, makers of 'Shamshera' released the first look poster of the film. It features the upper half of Ranbir's face carrying an intense look while his long flowing hair make his character look really mythical.

Last year, while describing the film, Ranbir said, "Shamshera is not a story of a ‘daaku,’ but a film based in the 1800s, it is about a dacoit tribe who are fighting for their right and independence from the British. There was a great story of heroism, a story rooted in our country which actually happened back then."

Directed by Karan Malhotra, 'Shamshera' will also see Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in important roles. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on March 18, 2022.
