Actor Ranbir Kapoor recently made an appearance at Red Sea International Film Festival where he praised recently released Pakistani film 'Legend of Maula Jatt' and also expressed his desire to collaborate with Pakistani artists. However, these comments did not sit well with a fraction of netizens who are now trolling and criticising Ranbir for sympathising with Pakistan.
When asked whether he would want to be a part of a Pakistani film, Ranbir had stated, "Of course, sir. I think there are no boundaries for artists, especially for arts. Many congratulations to the Pakistan film industry for (The Legend Of) Maula Jatt. It is one of the biggest hits we have seen in the last few years. Of course, I would love to.”
Reacting to this, a Twitter user wrote, “How shallow their patriotism is …For money ..Kuch bhi." Another one wrote, "Miyan Biwi dono dimag se paidal hai kya. But think about it…Koi #Pakistani Film ka proposal aaya lagta hai and #RanbirKapoor is checking out how people will react… phir yeh fourth fail bolenge humko #GoToPakistan kyu bolte ho.”
On the work front, Ranbir was last seen in the fantasy drama 'Brahmastra' and his upcoming projects include 'Animal' and 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar'.
