Ranbir Kapoor and Imtiaz Ali are an amazing actor-director team. They have teamed up to give two iconic films i.e, 'Rockstar' and 'Tamasha'. Lately, there were reports about them reuniting for a third film. The buzz suggested that the film could be a biopic of folk singee Amar Singh Chamkila. Imtiaz has been planning this biopic for quite a while now so it was a fairly good assumption.

However, that is not the case. A source close to the director revealed that upcoming Ranbir Imtiaz project is something else.

The source shared, "While the biopic of Amar Singh Chamkila was one of the films Imtiaz Ali was working on, he had two other scripts too that he was writing simultaneously. One is a social film that sends out a message on suicide; the details of the other film have been carefully kept under wraps. Ranbir Kapoor’s film is not a biopic because it will bring him to a similar Rockstar space with him playing a musician, although the stories are poles apart."

Apart from this, Ranbir will star in a Luv Ranjan film and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal'.
