Congratulations are in order for celebrity couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor as they recently welcomed their first child in the family. Alia gave birth to a baby girl on Sunday and she shared this news via a heartfelt Instagram post. She shared an adorable digital sketch of a lion, lioness and a cub and captioned it as, "And in the best news of our lives:- Our baby is here...and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love - blessed and obsessed parents. Love love love. Alia and Ranbir."

Soon after this, several family members, friends and fans took to social media to congratulate Alia and Ranbir. Alia's sister Shaheen Bhatt shared the same digital sketch on her Instagram and wrote, “I may never stop weeping. Our little bean is finally here and life has forever changed.”

Alia mother Soni Razdan also expressed her delight as she wrote, “Oh happy day ! So much gratitude to life for this amazing wonderful blessing of a gift. Thank you all for your wishes of love. Our collective cup runneth over.”

For the unversed, Ranbir and Alia started dating soon after they started working on their film 'Brahmastra' and they tied the knot together earlier this year in April.
