Congratulations are in order for Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor as they finally got married on Thursday after several days of rumors and specualtions. The ceremony took place at Ranbir's house Vaastu and it was a close knit affair attended by family and close friends.

To mark the beginning of this beautiful new chapter of her life, Alia took to Instagram to share some pictures from the ceremony and penned down a heartfelt note to go along with them. She wrote, "Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home in our favourite spot - the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship - we got married."

The actress further added, "With so much already behind us, we can’t wait to build more memories together memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights and Chinese bites. Thank you for all the love and light during this very momentous time in our lives. It has made this moment all the more special."
