Ahead of the release of 'Ranarangam' on August 15, a pre-release event was held on Tuesday evening.  Nithiin graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Nithiin said, "Sharwanand is an inspiration to aspiring actors.  He started out as a character artist and, years later, he has grown up to be a solo hero with nobody's support.  After playing a lover boy in 'Padi Padi Leche Manasu', he has done an intense role in 'Ranarangam'.  That shows his stamina.  I had my reservations when I came to know that Sharwa is playing the role of a middle-aged gangster.  But once I watched the trailer, I knew I have been proven wrong.  This film should become a big hit for the producer so that he spends lavishly on my next movies with him."

Sharwanand said, "We are confident about the movie's success.  The feedback so far has been encouraging.  The producer, Vamsi, is proud of the film already after spending so much on the film.  After 'Jersey', he has produced this film and is going to produce 'Bheeshma' (with Nithiin).  Cinematographer Divakar Mani has shown us, the actors, beautifully.  After 'Run Raja Run', I am looking the best in this film.  It's not easy to edit a film like this one.  Naveen Nooli has done his best.  Kalyani Priyadarshan is such a fantastic actress, her father is one of the biggest directors in Indian cinema.  She is so down-to-earth and hardworking.  I will miss working with Sudheer Varma.  The film will speak for itself."

Director Sudheer Varma said, that the entire credit for the visuals should go to cinematographer Divakar Mani.  "My producer, Vamsi, hasn't told me what is the budget.  The output is great.  I thank Kajal Aggarwal for accepting the role even though it's not a full-fledged one.  The whole film belongs to Sharwa, whose character's journey the film is about.
