Not many must have heard of Kodi Rammurthy Naidu a.k.a. Prof. Rammurthy, but Rana Daggubati has read him. He is inspired by him and even wants to play him on the big screen.

To get into the details, Rammurthy Naidu lived in pre-Independent India. Born in 1882, he displayed superhuman capabilities in the field of wrestling. So much so, he was given the sobriquet Indian Hercules (the Greek divine hero famous for his strength) when he performed at Buckingham Palace in front of King George and Queen Mary. Conferred the sobriquet Kaliyuga Bhima, he perfected the arts of air resistance and water resistance.

Rana is bowled over by this rare, gifted talent. Although biopics on such exceptional but less-known historical personalities are less to come by in Tollywood, one hopes Bhallaladeva's wish will be fulfilled. If not, the resourceful producer's son in Rana may well find a director who can do it in, say, Bollywood.
