Title - RANA VIKRAMA, Producers - Jayanna and Bhogendra, Direction - Pawan Wadeyar, Camera - Vaidhi, Music - V Harikrishna, Cast - Puneeth Rajakumar, Ada Sharma, Anjali, Vikram Singh, Dr Girish Karnad, Mukyamantri Chandru, Avinash, Rangayana Raghu, Ashok, Sudha Belawadi, Sridhar Kesari, Lakshman, Ravi Verma and others.

The third direction of Pawan Wadeyar is extremely good in takings, makings and attacking by the protagonist. The two shades for the film are glorious for its tight screenplay and selection of artists and technicians is very apt. ‘Rana Vikrama’ is double that of ‘Power ***’ in the career of power star Puneeth Rajakumar and he holds the attention in every scene. Puneeth caliber has enormously increased from this film. The humor style, the action strength, dancing ability and a bit of emotional moments, it is a fine performance from Puneeth Rajakumar. He carries the film on his shoulders and gives a splendid treat for his fans.

What is ‘Ranavikrama’? The story is set in 1947 and in 2015. The flashback portion is 1947 - Vikram at Vikramathirtha struggles hard to save the people from British Empire onslaught. There is Gowri for Vikrama in his married life and his valiance is a nightmare to British rule. The situations are registered as the rule of last viceroy of pre independence. In the house of Vikram (Puneeth Rajakumar again) there is old lady laying in coma. That old lady is none other than Gowri (Anjali), his grandmother. Last viceroy son (Vikram Singh) also looks typically same in 2015. It is a task for Vikram to give relief to the undisclosed place in the history of Karnataka and Maharashtra - that is none other than ‘Vikrama Teertha’ that is placed under regime of local thugs who are very powerful. At this ‘Vikrama Thirtha’ Vikram is posted as a cop on training. He saves the life of people from bondage and his developmental works is a big drain to the local thugs - headed by international criminal - Vikram Singh again.

The issue now is the Uranium strength in the land of ‘Vikrama Thirtha’. The place under custody of Vikram a strong, rough and tough cop is the demanding place for export of Uranium. How this is tackled by Vikram and further development is another chilling portion of the film. The combination of power star Puneeth Rajakumar and Jnanapith award winner Dr Girish Karnad is interesting. The bureaucracy and politics jell well anything could be possible is what Pawan Wadeyar attempts to tell. Anjali looks sweet and her Gowri Gowri song in the festival is too good. Ada Sharma is not right match for Power star Puneeth Rajakumar. Dinesh Mangaluru is at his shouting best, Vikram Singh is right selection, Avinash and Rangayana Raghu have nothing special. The stunts of Ravi Verm are on top gear. There are six plus action portions - Power star Puneeth Rajakumar shows his ability that is best so far. The cinematography of S Vaidi is glorious. The top angle shots are too good. Editing by Suresh is admirable. There is confusion at places that director Pawan Wadeyar has to answer. Go for an action entertainer. You will not be disappointed.
