Rana to hit floors in Jan

No sooner did Rajinikanth announce that he would be back to work in 2-3 months, than Rana was announced by the producers of the film in Chennai. Sunil Lulla and Soundarya Rajinikanth produce this mega-budgeted historical action and costume drama. In Rajini's own words, the role demands a lot of physical strain from him.
KS Ravikumar, who is a dab hand at working films on a larger canvas (read Dasavatharam, which was not just a mega cost affair but also had Kamal Hassan experimenting with ten distinct avatars).
Deepika Padukone and Sonu Sood play the other two most important roles in the film. AR Rehman has been roped in to score music.
The film will be released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
