Box Office performance of Ghazi and other new releases of the week

Out of the new releases of the week. the Tamil -Telugu-Hindi trilingual 'Ghazi' advertised as India's first Underwater film has taken a fantastic opening in Chennai Box office.
The Rana Daggupati-Tapsee starrer opened to phenomenal positive reviews from all corners. The film was screened in 14 screens across the city and was given 85 shows in the three day weekend. WIth this the film has collected Rs.19,80,670 with a 90% occupancy. Box Office trade experts call it a Good Opening.
The other Tamil releases of the week have settled for either 'Below Average' or 'Average' opening.
Horror-Comedy flick 'Rum' starring Hrishikesh, Sanchitha Shetty, Vivekh and others has taken a Average Opening with over 75% occupancy. With 18 theaters and 75 shows in the first three days the film has collected Rs.12,52,420.
'Ennodu Vilaiyadu' starring Bharath, Kathir, Sanchitha Shetty and Chandini has taken a Below Average opening. The film has collected Rs.7,18,040 with 42 shows across 11 screens with a mean occupancy of 60%.
After the blockbuster 'Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru', another film with Rahman in the lead role, 'Pagadi Attam' had hit the screens last weekend and the film has collected Rs.5,84,160 with 35 shows across 10 screens in Chennai. The average occupancy of the shows has been 70%. The trade pundits call it an Average opening.
