Rana Daggubati has on Tuesday made it official that he and Suresh Productions will co-produce Vijay Sethupathi's biopic on the legendary Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralidharan.

"Suresh Productions and I are proud to be associated with Dar films in telling the story of a legend through a legendary actor. Vijay Sethupathi as Muttiah Muralidharan soon!!" the 'Baahubali' actor said.

The sports drama will be directed by Sripathy Rangasamy. Sethupathi recently made it official that Muralitharan himself will be guiding him on various cricketing aspects so that he gets the nuances right. The 'Sye Raa' and 'Super Deluxe' actor will have to get the bowling right to pull off the role of one of the best spinners the world has ever seen. This movie is expected to release in late 2020 in multiple languages in India.
