For a long time now, there were rumours that Daggubati Rana and Shriya Saran are seeing each other. On Saturday, a national newspaper published news that Bipasa Basu was the reason why Rana and Shriya split. The news item also mentioned that Rana and Shriya hae been seeing each other for five years now and have managed to keep it a secret. Shriya and Rana were found in several restaraunts together.

The report claimed that ever since Shriya got to know that Rana is closer to Bipasa Basu who is acting with him in 'Dum Maro Dum', she bid him good bye.

Rana said that all these rumours were baseless and wondered where they originated from.

"Shriya has known me since I was in college. We have known each other for eight years now and all other gossips are false. Don't know where the rumour keeps creeping from" he retorted on microblogging sites.

Bipasa too said that she was close to Rana as they both were acting in a movie and there is nothing more to it. Observors however say this is a planted story to give publicity to their upcoming film 'Dum Maro Dum'.
