When you are testing waters in a new terrain, you would expect a smooth passage. That's what Rana Daggubati, too, would have expected.
Come August 11th, the Tamil version of 'Nene Raju-Nene Mantri' (titled 'Naan Aanaiyittaal') will have to prove its mettle in the face of an unfriendly market situation.
Just a couple of days ago, it was smooth sailing. With Ajith's 'Vivegam' postponed and Dhanush's 'VIP-2' waiting in the wings indefinitely, Teja's drama was poised to rule the roost in Tamil Nadu.
On Tuesday evening, though, 'VIP-2' was confirmed for the 11th.
There is another competitor. Nandamuri Balakrishna's 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' (Tamil), too, is coming. Although Rana is more popular than Balayya in the neighbouring State, 'GPSK' is getting a big theatrical release.
