Rana gave up proteins, weight training

Rana Daggubati had to give up eating non-vegetarian food for six weeks so as to tone down for the role of Bandev in the Telugu-Hindi bilingual 'Haathi Mere Saathi', to be shot from January-end.

Director Prabhu Solomon wanted a leaner look and so, the handsome actor decided to shed as much as 15 kgs for the role. His physical trailer Kunal Gir has told a national daily that Rana's food intake was curbed and he was asked to do light exercises for the six-week period.

'HMS' will be dubbed in Tamil. It will be a grand Diwali release. Varun Tej will play a key role in this adventure actioner.
