Except for an announcement that Rana Daggubati and Gruham director Milind Rau will be coming together for a film to roll in August, there has been no morsel of news on the film’s genre. While some earlier reports claimed that it’s a vampire drama, it’s far from the truth. Sources say the film, set on a large scale, is an action thriller that has been never attempted on Indian celluloid before. While it’s delayed considerably from going to sets as Rana is still in the US and is yet to begin shooting for Venu Udugula’s Virataparvam, it’s definitely on.
Another interesting development is that it will be shot in Telugu and Hindi simultaneously. A prominent North distribution house might associate with the Hindi version. Chances of it being dubbed to Tamil and get a simultaneous release date along with the original versions are not ruled out at this juncture. The Telugu version will be produced by Gopichand Achanta under Vishwa Shanti Pictures.
