After the blockbuster 'Baahubali' actor Rana has become more popular among Tamil audience. His performance as Sridivya's husband in 'Bangalore Naatkal' was quite appreciated despite the film failing to make wonders at the box office. He is presently acting in Gautham Menon's 'Yenai Nokki Paayum Thotta' alongside Dhanush. He is also shooting for 'Baahubali' 2' and the Telugu-Hindi bilingual mega budget war film 'Ghazi'.

Now we learn from reliable sources that Rana has agreed to play the main lead in a Tamil period flick to be directed by Sathyasiva of 'Kazhugu' fame. The project will be bankrolled by Rajarajan while Yuvan Shankar Raja has been roped into score music.

The makers have reportedly planned to go on shooting floors from July and presently scouting for a suitable actress to play the female lead. The film will be made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.

An official announcement on the project is expected to arrive soon.
