Rana Daggubati in a Punjabi movie's remake?

While it has become a trend these days to remake movies in different languages, it is rare to see movies whose remake is done in Telugu.
Buzz is that the most awaited Punjabi movie of the year, 'Sardaar ji 2', is all set the be re-made in Telugu. Noted filmmaker Vasu Varma reported to have taken the rights of the movie from White Hill Production for its remake. There are chances of him taking 'Baby' famed Rana Daggubati as the lead role in the movie.
Said a team member of 'Sardaar Ji', "It is great to see Punjabi cinema grow these days and the way they are making movies, is taking it to another level. If a director wishes to make a remake of a Punjabi film is a great achievement in its own".
Incidentally, 'Sardaar Ji 2' stars Punjabi heartthrob Diljit Dosanjh, whose Bollywood debut 'Udta Punjab' is keenly waited upon.
