Rana has to be given his due for doing a diverse set of roles film after film. If in Ghazi, he is playing a naval officer, in Baahubali and Teja's film, he is essaying contrasting roles. Ditto with his roles in films like Palavaalthevan and Bala's untitled project. Thus, he is raring to be versatile across three languages - Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.

Very soon, he will do a remake, playing a character of substance, once again.

Buzz is that the most-awaited Punjabi movie of the year, Sardaar Ji 2, is all set the be re-made in Telugu. Vasu Varma of Josh and Krishnashtami fame is reported to have taken the rights of the movie from White Hill Production for its remake. There are chances of him taking Rana Daggubati as the lead role in the movie.

Said a team member of Sardaar Ji, "It is great to see Punjabi cinema grow these days and the way they are making movies, is taking it to another level. If a director wishes to make a remake of a Punjabi film is a great achievement in its own".

Looks like more clarity will emerge after Sardaar Ji 2 hits the screens on June 24.
