'1945', the much-delayed film starring Rana Daggubati as a soldier, has been in limbo for more than 4 years. The film was shot in 2017-18, on and off. It's now coming out in theatres.
As per the latest reports, the makers are planning to release the patriotic drama on December 31.
A love story, '1945' chronicles a "story that blooms in the turbulent time when Subhash Chandra Bose was believed to be dead." Also starring Regina Cassandra and Nasser, the period drama has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
After the death of Bose, the members of the Indian National Army were leaderless, but large sections of the country, after the end of World War II, rallied behind INA when many of its nationalistic soldiers. That's the premise of the film.
Rana also awaits the release of 'Virata Parvam', which will be out in early 2022. The film is directed by Venu Udugula and has Sai Pallavi and Priyamani in key roles.
