Rana Daggubati has sparked a debate around nepotism and privilege. In his latest interview, the 'Baahubali' actor said that he had failed in Class X and yet followed his dreams.
Plugging the interview, a social media user (@GoneWorse) commented that Rana could follow his dreams "because his family owns a production house and a big a$$ studio."
The actor then triggered a debate by giving a reply to the user. "Not really bro....that’s of no use if you don’t learn the craft. India had many studios run to ground with dying storytelling skills. Follow your dreams even if the world tells you that you are a failure!!" Rana said.
At this, the Twitter user told Rana that he is privileged and should accept it. "Even if you learn the craft, it's impossible for an outsider to break in. Just acknowledge your privilege and go," the user wrote.
Rana awaits the release of 'Aranya', a jungle adventure drama, on April 2. This one will release in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.
