Music director turned hero Vijay Antony was last seen playing the lead role in the action packed mass entertainer Thimiru Pudichavan directed by Ganesha and costarring Nivetha Pethuraj, and following the mediocre result of the movie at the box office, has been concentrating on acting more than music.

Besides his already progressing projects like Kolaigaran, Agni Siragugal and few more projects, the actor had recently launched his next movie, Thamizharasan directed by Babu Yogeswaran who had earlier directed the movie Daas years ago with Jayam Ravi.

Now it has been confirmed that this movie will have Remya Nambeesan as the female lead, and Bollywood/Tollywood actor Sonu Sood will be playing the antagonist. The movie will have Isaignani Ilayaraja as the music director for the first time for Vijay Antony.
