The trailer of 'Queen' has been released amidst huge expectations as it was said to be the biopic of former chief minister J. Jayalalitha but the cut says another story. It is conveyed that the story is about a school topper called Shakti Sheshadri becomes a reluctant actress but destiny makes her a celluloid superstar and later the youngest chief minister of Tamil Nadu. Sounds familiar? Well, it should.
Ramya Krishnan plays the older version of Shakti Sheshadri in 'Queen' and the seasoned performer brings majesticity to the character and reminds Jayalalitha in every movement of her body and speech. Anika Surendran of 'Viswasam' fame is playing the teenage version of the character and a newcomer in the actress version. Malayalam star Indrajith Sukumaran as GMR is a perfect pick for the MGR like character.
'Queen' is written by Reshma Ghatala and directed by Gautham Menon and Prasath Murugesan with music score by Darbuka Siva, editing by Praveen and cinematography by Velraj/Manikandan. The web series that has a distinct GVM touch will start streaming from December 14th on MX Player.
