The ever-youthful actress Ramya Krishnan, who has the credit of being in the industry for more than two decades playing both lead and supporting roles, is back to rock audiences with an antagonistic character in 'Aarumugam'. This kind of a character comes naturally for this 'Nilambari'. None can forget the intensity with which she played the character of Nilambari in the film 'Padayappa'.

Be it an arrant home-maker or an arrogant vamp, glam-doll or even a goddess, the actress delivers the best and simply steals the screen even when many others stalwarts are alongside her and that includes even Rajinikanth in some scenes of 'Padayappa'.

The versatility, chic and glamorous appearance and on-screen presence are the assets that have bestowed this actress an unusual privilege of acting in five languages (Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi).

Ramya is presently appearing in a daily soap 'Kalasam' in Sun T.V.

The veteran actress says 'I will continue my film career until I get good offers with which I can perform. Soap Operas in television also do offer the same scale of pay as films and both have managed the same level of reach among audiences. No difference between the two exists today', says the actress.
