Known for dexterity in his previous films Desai seems to have lost control over the silver screen. The lack of home work and strong vision from the point of view of audience makes this film protracted and boring. Director like Desai has still not learnt lessons from his previous flops.
He has added too much of proceedings in 'Ramya Chaitra Kala' and thus loses balance in narration. He climbs the hill but suddenly falls down like how the protagonist in the film does. Most of the scenes are rehashed from his earlier films like Nammura Mandhara Hoove, Sparsha, Prema Raaga Hadu Gelathi etc.

Kannada film industry has got another good actor in Sandeep from this film. Sandeep has the height and looks of a hero. He has done well in this rough and raw role. Nanditha could have been better. Manasi is a right choice and she will be another actress Prema of Kannada cinema if she moulds herself properly.
Two songs are melodious but music director has taken inspiration from yesteryear tunes. Photography gives you a feel of picnic to Uttar Kannada district of Karnataka.
Scoring - 5/10
