After director Bala, who shot a major portion of his Nandha in the Indo - Lanka border at Rameshwaram, it is now the turn of the cast and crew of Jeeva starrer Rameshwaram to shoot their movie in the same locations.

Quite appropriate to the title, the entire movie occurs in the Rameshwaram town, considered a holy place for Hindus. The movie is about Jeeva, a refugee from Sri Lanka who reaches the place. Bhavana, daughter of the local village chief falls in love with him. The crux of the movie is about how the lover couple gets united amidst stiff opposition.

A grand photo shoot for the movie was carried out at Mammallapuram with both Jeeva and Bhavana taking part.

Thanks to the success in Ram, Dishoom and E, Jeeva's career is on a high and he has emerged an actor who can do varied roles. Rameshwaram is a pointer to it.
