Ramesh Sippy and Hema Malini to work again after 'Sholay'

Post the cult classic Sholay' in 1975, legendary director, Ramesh Sippy will be directing once again, a film called Shimla Mirchi'. And yet again after 39 years he will be working with his favourite actress Hema Malini, with whom Sippy created the character of Basanti in Sholay'. Also, like his other films, the first letter of his next film is also with the letter "S".

The film which is expected to go on floors in August, will also star Rajkummar Rao. In fact, we were told that Rajkummar opted out of film to be made on Chetan Bhagat's Revolution 2020 only for Sippy's Shimla Mirchi'.

However, the leading lady opposite Rajkummar Rao is yet to finalise. The film is said to be a sweet, romantic story with its quirky twists.

Ramesh Sippy always chose to make diverse films right through his career in spite of he being a blockbuster director, to begin with mature love story Andaz', to comedy Seeta aur Geeta', to an action adventure Sholay', to slick action Shaan' to family drama with Shakti' to romantic love story Saagara'.
