Ramesh in Devotional Role

The popular actor, director and ever energy personality Ramesh Aravind has accepted to do the role of Sri Basavanna, 12th century reformer. Even before the launch of Upendra’s ‘Basavanna’ in the direction of Srinivasaraju, actor cum director Ramesh Aravind is appearing in the role.

Ramesh Aravind is contemplating on directing a bilingual with Dr Kamal Hassan, he has accepted a Tulu film for the first time in his career. Tulu language is one of the four recognized languages of Karnataka. It is titled as ‘Niral’ (Shadow). This is shot extensively in Dubai.

Meanwhile Sri Basavanna role for Ramesh Aravind is in Kannada film ‘Sri Sharana Haralayya’. The role of ‘Haralayya’ is played by highly acclaimed dancer and actor Sridhar. It is on untouchable system of centuries ago. ‘Haralayya’ follower of Sri Basavanna fought against the system.

Purushottam who recently directed ‘Pagade’ and a few devotional films like ‘Jagadguru Renukacharya, Bhaktha Shankara, Devi Bagamma and Gnanajyothi Siddaganga is heading the megaphone for the film. A Devaraj is producer of the film.

Ramesh Aravind has finished ‘Machcha’ in Tamil, in Kannada ‘Mangana Kaili Manikya’ is ready to hit the silver screen. Another film of Ramesh Aravind ‘Tunturu’ with Anu Prabhakar as heroine and Rishika Singh as sister in the direction of Mussanje Mahesh is under production.
