'Ramayan' star passes away at 82

Just couple of days after the demise of sesosned actor Ghanshyam Nayak, we have lost yet another fine and gifted artist. Actor Arvind Trivedi, who was best known for his menacing portrayal of demon king Ravana in the 80s TV show 'Ramayan', passed away on Tuesday. The cause of death was multiple organ failure due to a heart attack.
His nephew Kaustubh Trivedi told ETimes, "He was not keeping well for quite some time, but today he suffered a heart attack and that led to multi organ failure." Arvind's 'Ramayan' co-stars Sunil Lahiri and Dipika Chikhlia took to their social media to express condolences. Apart from 'Ramayan', Arvind Ji was also a part of the show 'Vikram Aur Betaal'.
He was also a well known name in Gujrati cinema where he had a illustrious career spanning three decades. Apart from acting, Arvind briefly chaired CBFC and was also a member of parliament from 1991 to 1996 and from 2002 to 2003.
