Ramayana continues to capture headlines, particularly with the star-studded cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash, coming together for Nitesh Tiwari's adaptation of the epic. Initially slated to pair with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt was replaced by Sai Pallavi, marking her grand Bollywood debut. Additionally, Sai Pallavi is set to star opposite Aamir Khan's son, Junaid Khan, in a love story with a scientific backdrop. Recent buzz surrounding the film focuses on the remuneration of the stars, with Sai Pallavi's fee receiving a substantial hike.
Reports indicate that Sai Pallavi will be paid between Rs. two to three crores for her role in the film, with her earnings reaching around Rs. 18 to 20 crores, particularly for her portrayal in the mythological epic. Meanwhile, Yash commands a fee of around Rs. 50 crores per film, amounting to a staggering Rs. 150 crores for his participation in Ramayana. However, the film is expected to be a significant money-spinner for Ranbir Kapoor, who stands to make Rs. 75 crores for this project, totaling Rs. 225 crores.
Amidst the excitement, leaked images from the sets have surfaced, revealing Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi and Arun Govil portraying Dashrath. To maintain secrecy and uphold the project's integrity, the production team has tightened security measures. Govil expressed confidence in Nitesh Tiwari's ability to deliver a dignified rendition of Ramayana, praising the director's dedication and hard work.
With reports suggesting a massive budget ranging from Rs. 500-600 crore, Ramayana is a colossal undertaking. The elaborate set alone costs Rs. 11 crore, indicative of the grandeur of the production. Split into three parts, each segment will delve into different phases of Lord Rama's life, covering his birth, marriage to Sita, exile, and beyond. Expectations are soaring on the film and fans of Sai Pallavi are super thrilled to see her enter into Bollywood with the iconic role of Goddess Sita.
