The video of an inebriated man falling into a 100-feet deep well while withdrawing water and further being rescued by the fire service personnel has been going viral on social media.
The incident happened on Tuesday, July 14, in the Ramanjineyapuram area in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. Two men, identified as Kishore and Ayodhya, had consumed liquor in a local store, following which one of them decided to extract water out of a nearby well as he felt thirsty. While climbing down the steep steps inside the well, Kishore accidentally fell in. The other man immediately contacted the CK Dinne police station and informed them of the incident. According to a report by a news agency, a police team, led by sub-inspector R. Rajeswara Reddy, along with the fire personnel rushed to the location, climbed down the well, tied Kishore with a rope, and managed to lift him out. "Bhukya Kishore Naik (26) was in a drunken condition and fell down in a well which is in dilapidated condition near Mula Lanka village in CK Dinne mandal. CK Dinne Sub Inspector Rajeswar Reddy sent us information at around 3 pm on Monday after which our Station Fire Officer P Basi Reddy and his team rushed to the spot and rescued Naik," an official reportedly stated.
Kishore has been safely rescued and is out of danger. However, he reportedly suffered a few injuries and is currently being treated for the same in a local hospital.
