The Kathal Kotai (KK) team comes back with `Ramakrishna. KK's director Ahahtian was the first director from Tamilnadu to get the best director award at the national level and its producer Sivasakthi Pandian got the best film award. "It's a film about human relationships. The main protagonist is a youth educated in London and he comes to his village in search of his father " says the director. Jai Akash in real life resides in London and has no touch with villages. He took pain to study the way the villagers speak and behave.

For the past 13 years Ahahtian narrated the subject to every artiste and producer.  It was only Sivasakthi Pandian who agreed to produce this film. Though an emotional film the film does have it share of action scenes with the Silambu (stick) fights commonly used in villages.

Producer Sivasakthi Pandian had produced two movies `Vanmathi' and `Kathal kottai' directed by Agathian. Pandian's KK won three national awards including the best director award. `Kadal pookal' and `Vetri kodi kattu' produced by Pandian too won awards at the national level. Music by Deva the film was shot in many locales in Tamilnadu and Kerala the unit also shot at Kulu Manali and London. Cinematography by Rajesh Yadav the film has debutante Sridevika as the heroine along with Vani, Vijayakumar, Charlie and Saranya in the cast.
