"You loved the first glimpse of #RamSetu…Hope you show even more love to the trailer (sic)," tweeted Akshay Kumar, plugging the trailer of 'Ram Setu', which will hit the screens in Telugu and Hindi, among other languages, on October 25.
Directed by Abhishek Sharma and produced by Cape of Good Films along with Amazon Prime Video, Abundantia Entertainment, and Lyca Productions (whose 'Ponniyin Selvan-I' is going great guns in theatres), the film also stars Nushrratt Bharuccha. Satya Dev, who was recently seen as Chiranjeevi's antagonist in 'GodFather', has not a not-so-unimportant role in the major Bollywood release of the year.
The film begins with the 'Bell Bottom' actor as a skeptical archaeologist who becomes a strong believer in India's religious and cultural heritage. There is VFX and action in good measure in the movie.
Jacqueline Fernandez, Nasser (with whose lines the trailer begins on an interesting note), Pravesh Rana, and Jennifer Piccinato have other important roles.
With the story and screenplay written by Abhishek Sharma, the film has cinematography done by Aseem Mishra. Edited by Rameshwar S Bhagat, its Production Design has been done by Dayanidhi Patturajan and Amrish Patange (Red Ameise).
