Paying an ode to this mother’s name with his upcoming magnum opus, Sanjay Leela Bhansali pays tribute through the romantic-drama ‘Ram-Leela’.

Deepika Padukone who essays the character of the vivacious Leela in the film felt an overwhelming responsibility towards her role, especially since it was named after his mother’s name and couldn’t have been happier when Sanjay Leela Bhansali praised her performance and her relentless perseverance on the final day of the filming.

Said Deepika, "I feel very responsible. I know what his mother means to him. It’s a nice way to look up to his mother."

Eros International and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Ram-Leela’ starring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh is scheduled to release November 15th 2013.
