While Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Sanju’ made a stupendous hit and continues its record-breaking run at the box-office, the biopic had received mixed responses from the audiences. Apart from Ranbir Kapoor’s uncanny resemblance and flawless acting skills, viewers weren’t much happy because Sanjay Dutt’s bad boy image, especially his link to the 1993 serial bombings and his possession of an AK-56 were whitewashed from the film.
So, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma who was slightly disappointed with the biopic confirmed that he will be making a film that tells the real story of Dutt. According to a report, RGV’s tell all will focus on the actor's arrest with regard to the 1993 serial bombings in Mumbai and his possession of the AK-56 rifle phase. While RGV has set out to make the “real” Sanju, who will be playing Dutt’s role this time is yet to be finalised. Also, how exactly is Sanjay going to react to RGV’s new project is yet to be revealed.
The duo-Sanjay Dutt and Ram Gopal Varma have both worked on two films so far - the 1997 crime caper ‘Daud’ and ‘Department’, which released in 2012. Both these films failed at the box-office.
