A hero of Ram's stature might be expected to do a film named after his title role, but the Kandireega star's next film is titled after the role of its glamorous heroine, Samantha. It is now official that the Gautham Menon directorial is titled as Nithya.
AR Rahman scores the music for this film, which is being made in three languages simultaneously. The first look of the film clearly suggests that it is going to be a breezy romantic caper, much like Ye Maya Chesave.
Produced by RS Infotainment, the title in Tamil, interestingly, is not after the heroine's name. (The titled, Neethaane En Ponvasantham, is after a famous song from a 1982 film)
Since the title has been made public well in advance by the makers, it will only help its publicity. It is also rare to see a star hero in Telugu going easy with a title role of the heroine's. This only goes to show Ram's maturity and his belief that the title must justify the script.
