A few weeks ago, Ram Charan became the first and only Tollywood star to give a call to reach out to the victims of terrible floods in Assam. "Hey guys! I just want to bring your attention to the floods in Assam. Assam needs your help. People have died. People are displaced and animals have died too. Let's contribute to getting Assam back on its feet. Please donate and help them guys. Every rupee will make a huge difference," he said on Facebook.

The couple never spoke about how much they contributed as it's against their principles. The editor of a media outlet based in Assam has revealed it.

"Great couple! Salute!! Actor Ram Charan and his wife Upasana Kamineni donates Rs 1.56 cr & Rs 1.12 cr respectively for Assam flood relief," he tweeted.
