Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu starrer superhit movie ‘Driving Licence’ is prepping up to be remade in Telugu. According to reports, Tollywood star Ram Charan has bought the official remake rights of the movie. However, an official confirmation of whether or not Ram Charan has attained the remake rights of the Malayalam hit is yet to be confirmed.
'Driving License' has been running successfully in theatres for over two months now. The comedy-drama narrated the story of a superstar and his fan. Prithviraj played the role of the superstar Hareendran and Suraj was seen in the role of his fan named Kuruvila.
Directed by Jean Paul Lal aka Lal Jr and produced by Supriya Menon and Listin Stephen under the banner of Prithviraj Productions in association with Magic Frames, the film also stars Suraj Venjaramoodu, Miya George, Deepti Sati, Nandhu, Saiju Kurup, Suresh Krishna, Lalu Alex, Major Ravi and others in the supporting cast.
Earlier, Ram Charan had purchased the remake rights of Prithviraj’s directorial debut ‘Lucifer’ starring Mohanlal too. It is reported that his father Chiranjeevi will play the lead role in Telugu remake of ‘Lucifer’, which was a box-office hit.
